Angelina Hakobjanyan was born on January 17 in the Yeghegnadzor city, Vayots Dzor region. Angelina is the 3rd child of the family. As her mother describes, she is a very intelligent, active and patient child. When she was about seven months old, the parents noticed that the child couldn’t stand on her feet. They visited a doctor and found that the child had a developmental delay. They attended physiotherapy for about 2 years. Not getting any guarantee that the child would eventually walk and hearing the same expressions like “time will show”, they decided to stop the visits. The mother learned some exercises herself and practiced with the child at home.

“One nice day I saw on Facebook that a Voskeporik Development Center will be opened near us. As soon as I found out, I took the child to the doctors. They accepted us very well, with a smile. We started going to the center. Angelina is very happy to attend and we notice lots of change, both in her walking and behavior.”

The mother says that they have been attending physiotherapy for 3 years, and speech therapy for more than a year. Currently, the child is walking, trying tօ pronounce words properly.

“I am very grateful to the Voskeporik Development Center and its staff,” she says.

We are also very happy to witness Angelina’s progress and become a part of that process. We will surely make new achievements together.
