On March 28 at Voskeporik Development Center of Yeghegnadzor the regular meeting of “Hogekhnamq” took place, which was held by the founder of the Voskeporik Development Center, psychologist Eka Horstka.

The concept of “Hogekhnamq” group therapy encompasses a large number of different interventions that may focus on specific problem management, behavioral and cognitive skill acquisition, or the social benefits of the group experience itself.
The aim of the meetings is psychological support for mothers, stress relief, personal growth of mothers and formation of a strong community.

This time the meeting was dedicated to understanding the concept “empathy”. Empathy is the ability of a person to understand another person’s state of mind, feelings and mindset, to live with him, to sympathize, which has an extremely important role in human relations.

During the group therapy, an “Empathy” game-exercise was carried out, which enabled the mothers of the center’s beneficiary children to understand each other’s emotions and replicate them.

Artissimo NGO has received a small investment from the VIA Fund – the first impact investment fund for social enterprises in Armenia. The investment has allowed Artissimo to implement a series of “Hogekhnamq” psychotherapy group training and therapies.
